Triple Stamp Card Blog Hop

Happy Halloween and thank you for joining us today for the triple stamp card blog hop. If you arrived at my blog via Kate then you're in the right place! If you just happen to stop by to see what I made today I encourage you to hop along with us and see all of the triple stamp cards featured today. You can start your journey with Ashley who also has all the details on the candy that's up for grabs.

I wish I could tell you the name of the stamp set I used on my card but it's a set I just found floating around in my stamp drawer with no manufacturer listed on it. To get the multiple colors on my leaf image I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers. In fact, I used the markers for all of my stamping.

This was my first triple stamp card and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I will confess that I probably won't make another one but that's just because math, precision cutting and I are not the best of friends!

Celebrate The Occasion - Fall

Our challenge to you this week at Celebrate The Occasion is to create a project inspired by Fall. I used BoBunny's gorgeous Forever Fall line and the Doodlecharms and Art Philosophy Cricut cartridges to create my pillow box.

I used my Gypsy to weld the oak leaf onto the box. The opening is covered with a square I cut from a Ziploc bag. I used the leaf I cut out for the opening as an embellishment. I simply turned the paper over for a little contrast.

Red Carpet Studio - "The Ring"

This weeks Red Carpet Studio challenge is inspired by the movie "The Ring". For this challenge we're simply asking you to create a layout using polka dots or circles. Simple as that!

Here's what I created.

I used My Mind's Eye Blackbird collection. This was a super simple layout. I just added a strip of pumpkin paper to the top and arranged my photos. I felt the base paper had enough going on that I didn't need to add anything else.

I'm Guest Designing at 3 Girl Jam

Inspired by the challenge at 3 Girl Jam (stamping on ribbon) and my daughter's Snow White birthday party I made these food labels.

I used the Claire's ABCs stamp set from Lawn Fawn and Staz On ink to stamp on the ribbon. The back is supported with a little cardstock and adhered to the stick with a Glue Dot.

Look at how cute my food table was . . .

. . . and then it started to rain and we had to haul everything into the garage!

Be sure to stop by 3 Girl Jam to see my guest post and link up your ribbon stamping project.

Celebrate The Occasion - Male Birthday

It's time for the boys to get a little birthday love at Celebrate The Occasion this week.

I made this football themed card using Autumn Celebrations and Everyday Paper Dolls. The football is actually the card feature on Autumn Celebrations.

I glued a tall piece of paper to the inside of the paper and stamped my sentiments using the Close To My Heart stamp set Just A Number. When the card is closed you can read "With age comes wisdom . . ." and the inside says "you're one of the wisest people I know! happy birthday".

Now it's your turn! Make a tall birthday card for a man in your life and link it up at Celebrate The Occasion this week. I look forward to seeing what you make.

Exploring Cricut Guest Designer

Welcome! I'm so excited to be a guest designer at Exploring Cricut. Today I'm going to share the birthday invitations I ended up making for my daughter's party this past weekend.
The event was Snow White themed so the color scheme was given; red, yellow and blue. I used Jack Frost Glimmer Mist to color the flower and that fun, frilly ribbon from Michael's was a great find. All of the Snow White stickers came from a coloring book so all the invitations were slightly different.
I also decorated the inside of the invitation. The mirror is reflective paper I found in the art section at Michael's. It came in a giant sheet that I had to cut down to size. It's thick paper so I used my Gypsy to have it cut multiple times. I used the black portion that was cut out from the frame as my mat on the front of the card.
The wording of the invitation started out:
Mirror, mirror on the wall
look who's turning four this fall
it then invited everyone to the enchanted forest, our house. And wouldn't you know, even giving people three options to RSVP (call, text, email) we still had to call over half the invited guests. That's so frustrating!

Paper Recipe:
Recollections Cardstock - black, white, red
Echo Park Patterned Paper - A Walk In The Park - Sunshine

Cut List:
Art Philosophy
   Card Base - 6.65"
   Mat - 4.96"
Happily Ever After
   Frame - 5.35"
   Apple - 2.71"

I took my inspiration from the feather and general mood of the inspiration photo. I added the sparkly apple to coordinate with my daughter's Snow White birthday party.

Here is the inspiration photo for this weeks challenge.

Red Carpet Studio - "Child's Play" Layout Challenge

This weeks challenge at Red Carpet Studio is inspired by the horror film "Child's Play". I hate this film series. I was only five when the first one came out but saw two of the four at a slumber party once. I was so afraid my Cabbage Patch Kid would come alive that I locked her in my closet along with my Kid Sister (can you tell I'm an '80s child)! And now they're making two more films in this series! When is that little murdering doll just going to go away already!!!

Pause Dream Enjoy - Color Challenge

Challenge #40
Orange and Purple

I love the orange and purple color combination, and not just at Halloween. However, I just got some new Halloween stamps so I did take my project in that direction!
I made this cute little gift box for my project. I used distress ink to add depth to the box.
The stamp set is Magic Potions by Close To My Heart. I used spiced marmalade distress ink. The purple paper is DCWV. I used a Martha Stewart punch before folding the rosette. The bat is a sticker.
I used a rub-on cut into quarters for the spider webs. The spider is also a sticker.
